After their 2-0 victory against Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup final on Sunday, Manchester United took home only £100,000 in prize money.

The first title for the Red Devils under Erik ten Hag was won in the first half thanks to goals from Casemiro and Marcus Rashford.

Moreover, it marks United’s first trophy since 2017.

Newcastle’s reward for their work was merely £50,000.

But, the clubs would at least have shared the gate money at Wembley, where 87,306 spectators were present.

Both Southampton and Nottingham Forest, who were eliminated in the semifinals, received $25,000 apiece.

The other competitors, including the four eliminated quarterfinalists, received nothing in prize money.
