10. Skin issues
Pimples result from bacteria that have hormonal imbalances. High levels of the stress hormone cortisol can increase oil production and cause breakouts.
Wrinkles and fine lines may develop sooner when stress levels are high. Not only that, but chronic or acute stress has been linked to serious skin disorders like psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, and contact dermatitis.
