Senator Shehu Sani Tackles DSS Over Warning Of Plots To Cause Nationwide Violence

Amid ongoing controversies that have trailed the just-concluded presidential elections conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) across the country, former Kaduna Lawmaker, Senator Shehu Sani has shared his thoughts on the recent alarm sounded by the Department of State Security (DSS) over a potential widespread breakdown of law and order in Nigeria.

Recall that in an official statement released on Saturday, the nation’s secret police revealed that it received intelligence of the plots by some persons to cause violence across the nation. Going further, the DSS vowed that it will not hesitate to clamp down on those behind the plans should they continue to make preparations to unleash mayhem.

However, in a tweet made on his verified Twitter handle a few hours ago, Sani, who is a chieftain in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), tackled the secret police, accusing it of releasing vague warnings without any iota of proof. Going further, the former Lawmaker insisted that mere warnings of a potential nationwide crisis were not enough as the country is already facing challenges on all fronts.
