PDP Suspends Ayu With Immediate Effect Over Anty-Party Activities

The National Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party Iyorchia Ayu, has been suspended with immediate effect .

Ayu was suspended by the Executive Committee of the party in Igyorov ward of Gboko Local Government Area of Benue State.

This event was reported by the Channel TV on their broadcasting platform.

Channel TV reported that the PDP National Chairman was suspended for anty party activities after passing a vote of no confidence on him.

Furthermore, the PDP Executive explained that Ayu failed to pay his annual dues as enshrined by the party’s constitution adding that he didn’t vote during the March 18th Governorship and state House of Assembly elections.

“Most of Ayu’s closest allies worked for the opposition All Progressive Congress (APC) which resulted in the abysmal performance of the PDP in Igyorov Ward” the committee stated. It was gathered that twelve of the Excos members signed the documents endorsing Ayu’s suspension
