Note: If you see these insects in your house, you must do these immediately

One of the reasons the centipede is so dreaded is its very painful bite and the venom it can inject. Now that the weather is warming up, more rain is on the way, and with that comes an influx of new species of animals, insects, and flora and fauna, as the precipitation brings everything to the surface.

Any cracks in the exterior walls or windows can allow centipedes access to your home. There is a chance that a centipede will find its way into your home if you leave the door open for a long period of time throughout the day. The centipede’s many legs allow it to scale walls, thus it might theoretically enter through an open window, but this is exceedingly unlikely.

If a centipede makes an unwelcome appearance in your home, the first thing you should do is to relax. You’ll need to use a broomstick or some other suitable stick to help you haul it outside. Alternately, you can use the broom to clean the area. People have claimed to have been bitten by this insect, so you should avoid handling it while it’s still alive. The pain from its bite is legendary. Therefore, physical contact is not recommended.

Since it has a potent odor and most insects detest potent odors, you can also use other cleansing chemicals or insect sprays like dread to get rid of it inside the home. You may prevent this and other pests from entering your home through any door that has a large gap under it by stuffing the gap with fabric.

To prevent future pest invasions into your home, you can also try spraying the garden and trees in your yard with insecticides. However, you should check the strength of the sprays to ensure they won’t destroy your garden’s produce or give you health problems like asthma or tuberculosis if the odor bothers you.
