Lagos Gubernatorial Election: Sanwo-Olu Defeats Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour In His Polling Unit

The gubernatorial election in Lagos has been a fiercely contested one as the governorship candidate candidate of the APC, Babajide Sanwo-Olu hopes to retain his seat while the candidates of the Labour and the PDP are hopeful of unseating the current governor.

The election which started earlier today is still going on as INEC officials and Party agents continue counting results from their respective polling units.

According to a recent report by Channels television, the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has defeated Rhodes-Vivour in his polling unit.

The Labour candidate lost his polling unit at polling unit 045, Oshifila, Anifowoshe, Ikej where he got 18 votes while the candidate of the APC got 29 votes while the PDP got only two votes. A total of 421 people registered at the polling unit but only about 50 were accredited for the governorship election.
