Just In: Power supply restored nationwide

Published

on

The Eko Electricity Distribution Company has officially announced that power supply has been restored following a widespread blackout that occurred across Nigeria due to the total collapse of the country’s electricity grid earlier on September 14, 2023, around 12:40 a.m.

The grid collapse had led to a significant loss of power supply to electricity distribution companies nationwide, as confirmed by multiple sources in the power sector and the distribution companies themselves. Notices of the total system collapse were issued by companies such as the Enugu Electricity Distribution Company Plc.

However, Eko Disco, in a statement through its official communication platform, X (formerly Twitter), reported that the national electricity grid has been repaired, and power supply has now been reinstated.

The statement read, “Dear valued customer, kindly be informed that power supply has been restored from the grid. Thank you for your patience.”
