Alhaji Asari Mujahid Dokubo, a prominent traditional title holder in Rivers state’s Kalabari kingdom, went live on Facebook last night to make some comments about those planning to cause unrest during today’s gubernatorial election in rivers state.

Alhaji Asari Mujahid Dokubo said, “my people, do not be afraid of the threats some people are making around. Go out and exercise your franchise. Vote whoever will make the state better. If I hear any gunshot in my community during the election, I will chase the shooter down.”

Speaking further, Alhaji Asari Mujahid Dokubo said, “those miscreants who intend to cause unrest should know that there will be consequences if they attack any of the electorates in my community. The last time we conducted election, some of our people died but now, such will not repeat itself.”

Again, Alhaji Asari Mujahid Dokubo said, “those who claim they will enter our communities through the river should look deeply into the river before crossing it. The military men should also do their job because they’re being paid and armed with taxpayers’ money.”

Lastly, Alhaji Asari Mujahid Dokubo said, “our military men and the police should not take sides with anyone during the election. They should remain neutral and discharge their duties by ensuring our people vote without being intimidated by anyone.”
