I used bow and arrow to kill my neighbour at night, 22-year-old man confesses
A 22-year-old man has told policemen from the Bauchi State Police Command how he used a bow and arrow to attack a man living in the same house with him, the command has announced.
The young man, whose name was given as Sambo Adamu, aged 22 years, was arrested by policemen from the Zaki Divisional Headquarters five days after the incident following intelligence gathered about the incident. Continue Reading>>>
It was gathered that at about 10:00 p.m. on March 25, Adamu and some other persons invaded the apartment of the man, whose name was given as Abdu Muhammadu, aged 30 years in Dasare Village, Zaki Local Government Area of the state and he shot the man with a bow and arrow in his chest. The victim was said to have been rushed to the Federal Medical Centre, Azare, where he was confirmed dead by the doctor on duty.
According to a statement by the state police command through its Public Relations Officer, SP Ahmed Muhammad Wakil and posted on its Facebook wall, when Adamu was arrested five days after the incident, he was said to have confessed committing the crime, but did not give reasons for doing it.
The statement added that he had given more useful information to the police operatives while efforts are on to arrest others who were said to have taken part in the dastardly act.
