A Chieftain of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Okechukwu Isiguzoro, has addressed the call by Festus Keyamo to the DSS, where he called on the nation’ s security agency to invite/arrest Labour Party Presidential candidate, Peter Obi and his running mate, Datti Baba- Ahmed for comments that the Junior Labour Minister claimed were incendiary and inciting.
You would recall that the Junior Labour Minister and Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, revealed that he had written a controversial petition to the Department of State Services, DSS calling on them to arrest the Labour Party Presidential candidate and his running mate for comments that stated were capable of causing a rebellion against the Nigerian Government.
But the Secretary- General of Ohanaeze, Okechukwu Isiguzoro has now fired back at Festus Keyamo and even calling on the DSS to arrest the Buhari’ s Minister. He made the call while responding to Keyamo’ s letter asking DSS to arrest the Labour Party, LP, presidential candidate, Peter Obi and his running mate, Datti Baba- Ahmed.
Isiguzoro accused Keyamo of trying to inflame those calling for an interim government to prevent the swearing- in of the President- elect, Bola Tinubu. According to Isiguzoro, bKeyamo was trying to burn down Nigeria by calling for Obi’ s arrest over alleged inflammatory remarks.
While Speaking with DAILY POST, Isiguzoro stated that, ” Keyamo wants to burn down Nigeria. Any action that would inflame the country’ s heightened tension should be discouraged. Keyamo would inflame those against Tinubu being sworn- in on May 29. Keyamo is doing more harm than good to Tinubu, and it’ s high time Tinubu disassociated himself from the minister’ s unnecessary outburst. He added that, ” DSS should arrest Keyamo instead of inviting Obi for questioning for attempting to inflame the country and incite violence. Obi is not a security threat; in light of this, Ohanaeze is calling for the arrest of Keyamo for trying to incite violence across the country because the consequences of his letter will consume democracy. ”
