Dr. Austin Maho Queries – Why is PDP Divided over Ayu, who Could Not Win His LGA or PU as Natl. Chairman: Dr. Austin Maho, has questioned the value of Iyorchia Ayu to the PDP structure in general after his performance in Benue state in the last election. In his interview on AIT New, Dr. Austin stated what he learned about Ayu’s expected successor after news of the PDP chairman’s suspension emerged.

Addressing the topic, Dr. Maho said, “While still running around to prove that his suspension as a PDP member did not follow due process, those behind Ayu’s ordeal only needed the suspension order at the ward level to stop him through the judiciary from parading as the PDP national chairman. Ayu did not foresee that things could turn out this way for him within 24 hours. Yesterday, I read claims that the deputy national chairman expected to replace Ayu is already parading himself as the new national chairman due to Ayu’s suspension.

He added, “However, the PDP needs to confront some hard questions. Why is the PDP split over Ayu, a national chairman who could not win his polling unit, his ward, or his LGA? I wonder what Ayu’s value is to the PDP structure in general. We have to face the facts.
