on

Oral s£x comes with a high degree of danger as it exposes you to the chance of contracting so many s£xually transmitted infections(STIs), as the act involves close contact and often an anal exchange of body fluid. According to MedicalNewsToday, here are the STIs most frequently acquired through oral s£x:

1. Genital Herpes:

First of all, the disease can’t be cured if contracted, but managed with medication. It is caused by two types of viruses—herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1) and herpes simplex virus type 2 (HSV-2). According to MedicalNewsToday, even condoms and other barrier protection methods may not prevent the virus from spreading, and this is particularly so if someone has a sore or a blister that is not completely covered by a condom or dental dam.

People who have oral herpes have a high chance of spreading the herpes infection to the genitals of their s£xual partners through oral s£x.

2. Gonorrhea

According to MedicalNewsToday, gonorrhoea is a highly contagious bacterial infection that spreads through s£xual contact with the reproductive organs, anus, or mouth of a person with the disease.

3. Syphilis:

It is a highly contagious bacterial infection acquired from an unsafe s£xual act. However, according to MedicalNewsToday, syphilis is treatable, but if it is left untreated, it can cause organ failure, dementia, and other serious health problems.
