2023 ELECTIONS: Nollywood Actress Accepts Defeat, Deletes All Campaign Post From Her Instagram Page

Nollywood actress turn politician, Funke Akindele has reacted silently to her loss in the just concluded Lagos state governorship election held on Saturday, February 18.

It was earlier reported that the mother of two and her principal, Abdul-Azeez Adediran better known as Jandor, were defeated by the incumbent governor and All Progressives Congress candidate, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, in Saturday’s election.

According to the result polls shared online by Nigeria’s electoral body, INEC, Sanwo-Olu has a total of 762, 134, Labour Party’s Gbadebo has 312, 329 while People’s Democratic Party has 62, 449.

However, hours after INEC announced Sanwo- Olu as the winner of the Lagos state governorship election, the actress, who was the running mate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial candidate, Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran, took to her official Instagram page to make some changes on her post.

Funke, who seemed to have accept the defeat took down all of her campaign posts, leaving only her personal photos and some movie promotion posts.
